On March 26, the Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement/Special Inestigations concluded a three-year investigation into a large scale methamphetamine drug syndicate reaching Allen, Warren, Barren, Metcalfe, Cumberland, Powell and Monroe counties.

Detectives from Kentucky State Police Columbia and Bowling Green Posts, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement along with KPS K-9, KSP Special Response Team, Bowling Green/Warren County Drug Task Force, South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force, Barren/Edmonson/Allen County Drug Task Forcee, Allen County Sheriff’s Office, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, and the Tompkinsville City Police Department, all assisted in the round-up.

Nine guns, .5 gram of methamphetamine, an anhydrous ammonia tank, and a drug ledger were seized.

Tweny-eight people were arrested and charged with Engaging in Organized Crime and lodged in Monroe County Jail.
