The Clinton County Industrial Development Authority held its second regular meeting of the year last Thursday morning, April 10 at the IDA-Welcome Center and once again, only a small agenda was on tap for the brief session.

Only four of seven members were on hand for the meeting, along with IDA Coordinator Charlette Koger, Attorney Terran Helm and Rick Mercader.

After establishing a quorum–with four members being just enough–a motion was made by Board Member Keith McWhorter to approve minutes from the February 13 regular meeting. The motion passed by unanimous vote.

Board Chairman Jim Soma then made a motion to pay claims and bills as presented, with the motion passing without opposition.

A motion was then made by Board Member Randy Speck, seconded by Debbie Brown, to approve the monthly Industrial Authority expenditure reports, with that motion also being approved by a 4-0 vote.

There was no other business on the agenda or brought before the board prior to adjourning, also on a motion by Speck.

The next regular meeting of the Clinton County Industrial Development Authority is slated for June 12 at 11 a.m. at the IDA -Welcome Center and is open to the general public.
