Bat Dawgs on a four game slump

Above top photo, Cory Arms picked up a grounder and threw a runner out at first base during Clinton County’s game against Cumberland County on Thursday. Above bottom photo, pitcher Jacob Bertram started Thursday’s game and despite a productive first inning from the Panthers, held Cumberland County to minimal runs in the first several innings. Clinton County lost the game 3-2, and finished the week with a 6-5 record. The Bulldogs also hosted the first round of the All “A” Classic Regional Tournament Saturday. The Bat Dawgs were defeated in the first round by Monroe County, 3-1. Clinton County was back in action this week with games on Tuesday, at home against Metcalfe County, and will be at home on Thursday to host Russell County. Clinton County will also host Red Boiling Springs on Monday, April 21 at 5 p.m.

Jeffery Collins got under a ball during Clinton County’s game against Cumberland County Thursday. The Bat Dawgs lost the contest by a final score of 3-2.

Jeffery Collins, Jacob Bertram and Travis Starns were selected to the All “A” Classic Regional All Tournament team Saturday. Clinton County lost in the first round against Monroe County, 3-1.
