Ray Appleby, 81, a native of Albany, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011 in Gainesboro, Tennessee. He was a member of Cave Springs Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Appleby.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Appleby; a daughter, Michela Daniel, both of Albany; a son, Michael Appleby, Burkesville, KY; two sisters, Gleneva Robinson and Margaret Brown, both of Albany; two brothers, Jessie and Kenneth Appleby, both of New Castle, IN; three grandchildren, Brian, Nathan and Natalie; also seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, April 17, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Brown and Bro. Ron Jones officiating. Final resting place in Cave Springs Cemetery. Arrangements made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
