More than 70 people were on hand Thursday for the National Day of Prayer event held on the square in downtown Albany.

The event started with a 21 gun salute by Hull-York Memorial Chapter 5 DAV Honor Guard, right, followed by several comments by NDOP Coordinator Tiffany Peters. The Praise and Worship portion of the event was handled by Albany First Methodist Church and a candlelight service concluded the ceremony.
