Ricky Wayne “Sarge” Ferrell, 55, Albany, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 at his residence. He was the son of the late Sam Rubin and Opel (Covey) Ferrell and was also preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Sue (Phillips) Ferrell; four daughters, Ricki Renea Ferrell and Mollie Murlene Ferrell, Taylor JoAnn Phillips and Teresa Kaye Catron; five brothers, Wendell Ray (Joyce Ann), Willie Kay, Lester Joe, Ronnie Gene and Jerry Glen Ferrell; a sister, Ginnie Faye Braswell; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Ferrell, all of Albany; also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Campbell-New Funeral Home with Pastor Donnie Shelley officiating. Final resting place in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Arrangements made through Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany. Online condolences may be made at www.campbell-new.com.
