Saturday’s Family Fun Run and 5K Run for the Roses was a fantastic success for it’s inaugural year.

Sponsored as a fundraising event by the Clinton County Healthy Hometown Coalition, the event saw some 365 participants involved in the two sponsored events, a 1K Run/Walk as well as a 5K Run.

Healthy Hometown Coordinator April Speck told the Clinton County News that she was thrilled by the number of participants in the event, as well as the number of volunteers who showed up to help with the race.

Funds raised by the effort are targeted toward the purchase of new playground equipment for Mountain View Recreational Park.
