Lady Bat Dawgs fall on senior night

Mariah Thompson squared up for a bunt during Clinton County’s Senior Night game against McCreary Central. The Lady Bat Dawgs lost the contest, 5-0. Clinton County lost to Adair County on Thursday, 9-1, and defeated Pulaski County on Monday, 2-1.

Ansley Stalcup made the tag in time to get a runner out at second Tuesday of last week. Clinton County hosted McCreary Central during Senior Night, but lost the contest 5-0. Clinton County moved it’s record to 6-18 on the year. The Lady Dawgs will host Russell County Monday night at 7 p.m. for the first round of the 16th District Tournament.

Makenzie Polston got under a pop up Thursday to secure an out against McCreary Central.

The Lady Bat Dawgs and Bat Dawgs will play host to this year’s 16th District Tournament. The Lady Bat Dawgs will play Russell County on Monday, May 19 at 7 p.m. Clinton County picked up a number three seed for the tournament.

The Bat Dawgs will also host Russell County Monday, May 19 at 5:30 p.m. at John Emmitt Polston Field. The Bat Dawgs picked up the number four seed in the tournament. The championship games for both softball and baseball will be held Tuesday, May 20, at Clinton County High School.
