James Edwin Elder, 74, Livingston, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Vanderbilt Medical Ceenter in Nashville. He was a native of Byrdstown, Tennessee and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Livingston, Tennessee.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Crouch Elder; a daughter, Lori (Don) Burchett; a son, Bruce (Donna) Elder, all of Livingston; a sister-in-law, Debbie Elder, Byrdstown; a sister, Glee Capps, Byrdstown; also four grandchildren, Daniel and Rachel Elder, Eli and Ben Estes; four step-grandchildren, Hunter Bennett and Nick, Nathan and Bryan Elder; also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Furst United Methodist Church in Livingston with Bro. Craig Green officiating. Final resting place in Lovelady-Sims Cemetery in Byrdstown. Arrangements made through Brown-Funeral Chapel of Byrdstown, Tennessee.
