A man was shot and killed early yesterday morning during an alleged domestic dispute at a Ben Jared Road home.

Will Brock, 26, died from gunshot-related injuries sustained in a domestic dispute with his father, Ralph Brock, 67, at their Ben Jared Road residence near the Southern Hills Golf & Country Club, according to the Putnam County Sheriff David Andrews.

Andrews said investigators believe Ralph Brock shot his son during the incident, which the department received the call for shortly after 1 a.m. on May 17.

“It appears from our investigation so far that it was a domestic that had gone terribly wrong,” Andrews told the Herald-Citizen.

Andrews said it was an active, ongoing investigation and no arrests had been made at that time.

“We’re still looking for potential witnesses,” he said.
