Venita Claywell Lawson, 78, Monticello, Kentucky, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014 at her home. She was the wife of the late Louis Edwin Lawson.

She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Parsons, Monticello, KY; five brothers, Eddie Claywell, Burkesville, KY; Dale Claywell, Louisville, KY; Daryl Claywell, Campbellsville, KY; Don and David Claywell, both of Albany; five sisters, Mary Claywell, Burkesville, KY; Marge Fister, Clarksville, IN; Jean Claywell, Louisville, KY; Rhonda Schafer, Clay City, IN; Lynn Claywell, Clarksville, TN; also four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 12 noon at Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home with final resting place in Elk Springs Cemetery. Arrangements made through Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home of Monticello.
