Three buses were in the parking lot at Clinton County High School Monday morning loading up before heading to Jabez, Kentucky, for the county’s annual 4-H Camp summer trip. Each year, students travel to the camp to take part in several outdoor activities including archery, canoeing, swimming, arts and crafts and many more activities.

This year, 4-H Agent Brandon Pharis said the boys’ bunk house was completely full and that’s the first time that has happened in many years. Pharis said there was a waiting list this year for spots to go to camp and he noted there were 67 students making the week-long camp vacation.

Students will return from camp around noon on Friday according to Pharis.

In the top photo, campers and parents loaded the luggage bus just before departing early Monday morning. Below, Ethan Daniels helped place the luggage into the seats of the bus. The inset photo, Lamon Tyler Hubbs handed luggage up to Daniels. One bus was used solely to transport luggage while two others transported campers to 4-H Camp.
