The 2014 edition of the Clinton County Fair is off and running as of this past Monday night, and that opening night featured several events along with what is being estimated as being the best attended Monday night in the history of the Clinton County Fair.

A change in the schedule lineup this year placed the popular Family Night activites – athletic events and archery competitions on Monday, and coupled with fantastic weather and a larger and better midway carnival than normal filled the Clinton County Fairgrounds on the opening night.

In the top photo, the midway area was packed Monday with people enjoying the rides and games being offered.

Several competitors in the archery event Monday were lined up as the daylight turned to dark, ready to fire into a row of targets.

Below three teams of young girls added water and mud to the mix during the Water Relay Race in the Athletic Events.

The Clinton County Fair continues nightly through Saturday of this week.
