Fiscal court ends year with brief meeting

Clinton County Fiscal Court held a very brief “end-of-the-fiscal-year” meeting last Friday morning, June 27 with just enough members to constitute a quorum. Only three magistrates were present, Mickey Riddle, Ricky Craig and Terry Buster. The presence of county judge/executive Lyle Huff, making the fourth member, constituted enough members on hand to hold a legal meeting where action could be taken.

The only item of business brought before the court was a list of small fund transfers necessary to close out the end of the 2013-14 fiscal year’s budget. A motion to approve the transfers was made Riddle, seconded by Buster and passed by unanimous vote. The meeting was then adjourned.

The next regular meeting of Clinton Fiscal Court is scheduled for July 17 at 5 p.m. at the courthouse and is open to the public.
