Fatal collision claims life of Albany man

A fatal collision occurred Tuesday night, June 24, 2014, around 10:47 p.m. on Ky. 90, about five miles north of Albany near the entrance to the Keystone Foods, LLC processing plant.

Jerry Hadley, 34, of Albany, was operating a 1994 Chevy 4-door vehicle and traveling East on Ky. 90 when his vehicle rear-ended a 2007 Mack semi-truck.

Hadley, who was not wearing a seatbelt was pronounced dead at the scene.

Timothy Beaty, 33, of Breeding, KY, was operating the semi-truck.

According to the accident report, the semi-truck was making a left hand turn into a business at the time of the collision.

Beaty had a passenger in the semi-truck, Patrick Scott, 34, also of Breeding, KY, who was wearing a seat belt. Scott was treated and released at Clinton County Hospital.

Beaty was also wearing a seat belt and was treated and released at Clinton County Hospital.

The collision is still under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
