James Earl Jones, 72, New Castle, Indiana and formerly of Albany, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014 in New Castle. He was a member of East Side Community Church in New Castle, and retired from Modernfold in 2004 after over 38 years with the company.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Perdue Jones; two sons, Gregory Earl and Phillip Dewayne Jones, both of New Castle; four grandchildren, Gregory (Kiley), Susan, and Abby Jones, all of New Castle, and Tiffney (Cody) Harris, Avon, Indiana; and two great-grandchildren, Caden Scott and Brody Harris. Also surviving are four sisters, Helen York, Franklin, Indiana; Dorothy (Donald) Marcum, Alpha, Kentucky; Margie (Larry) White, and Martha Jane (Doug) Riley, Burkesville, Kentucky; five brothers, Kenneth, Albert, and Johnny Jones, all of Albany, Kentucky, and Alvin (Mary) Jones, Burkesville, and Max (Lois) Jones, New Castle.

Funeral services were held at Cumberland City United Methodist Church Friday, July 11, 2014 with Bro. Ted Burchett officiating. Burial was in Cumberland City Cemetery.
