Esther 6 tells of Haman being believing the King is speaking of him when he wants to honor someone; pleased with, Haman is forced to give Mordecai the celebration he meant for himself.

Next day–at another banquet, the Queen tells the King of all the plans Haman has to kill Jewish people like herself. An aid to the King tells him about the gallows Haman had built.

Chapter 7 ends with the King ordering Haman to die on his own gallows.

In Esther 8:11 the Jews are given the right to defend themselves.

In the New Testament, Jesus tells His disciples in Luke 6:27-28 “But I say unto you which hear, love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.” Good words to go by.
