To the Editor,

In Mark 10:46-47 Jesus, his disciples, and a great number of people were leaving Jericho. There was a blind man, Bartimaeus, begging and listening at the side of the road. As soon as he heard Jesus of Nazareth was walking toward him, he cried out, “Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.” His saying this proves he had heard what Isaiah said in Isaiah 9:6-7. Jesus was the Messiah sent by God.

The people told him to hush, but he cried out louder.

Jesus had the people bring the man to Him. When Jesus asked the man what he wanted, he asked Jesus for his sight. Jesus said, “Go thy way; they faith hath made thee whole.” Immediately he can see and follows Jesus. Jesus saw the faith in his heart, and that it was enough!
