Gladys Massengale Asberry, 80, Albany, passed away Monday, August 18, 2014 at Wayne County Hospital in Monticello, Kentucky. She was a retired elementary school teacher, member of Oak Grove Church and wife of the late Darwin Asberry. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Della Asberry, Rhoda Massengale and Flonnie Gibson and four brothers, Butch, Bob, Joe and Fred Massengale.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Johnny DeRossett, Albany; a sister, Bonnie Neal, Monticello, KY; and two grandchildren, Trevor (Kristin) and Makensie DeRossett.

Funeral services were held Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Brown, Bro. Jim England, and Bro. Steve Sullivan officiating. Final resting place in Hillcrest Cemetery. Arrangements were made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
