Russell L. Pierce, 83, Denney Rd., Albany, passed away Friday, August 29, 2014 at Clinton County Hospital. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and was preceded in death by a son, Lonnie Ebb Pierce, two sisters, Jean Wallen and Dorothy Dean Pierce, and a grandson, Jonathan Frost.

He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathern and Bill York, Albany; Jacquita and Tim Frost, Monticello, KY; a sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Maloy Guffey, Albany; four grandchildren, Lance (Tina) and Lonnie L. York, Chelsea (Albert) Allen and Whitney Frost and three great-grandchildren, Caleb and Seanae York and Gabriel Allen.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with Bro. Jim England and Bro. Larry Brown officiating. Final resting place in Pine Grove Cemetery with Military Honors. Arrangements were made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
