Relay for Life to honor

The Clinton County Relay For Life would like to invite all local cancer survivors to attend the Clinton County football game on Friday, September 12 at 7 p.m. It will be “pink-out” night for the fans and all cancer survivors can wear purple. Survivors will get in free, receive free food and be recognized at halftime. Survivors are asked to wear the purple “Relay For Life” t-shirt from the 2014 event or any purple shirt.

The regular meeting of the Clinton County Board of Education scheduled for Monday, September 8 has been cancelled.

Farm Bureau annual meeting

The Clinton County Farm Bureau’s annual meeting will be held at the Clinton County Fairgrounds building on Thursday, September 11 at 6 p.m.

Clinton County Middle School Site Based Decision Making Council meeting dates announced

The Clinton County Middle School Site Based Decision Making Council will meet on the first Monday of the month in the Conference Room at 4:30 on the following dates:

September 8, 2014 (Special Call Meeting due to Labor Day), October 6, 2014, November 3, 2014, December 1, 2014, January 5, 2015, February 2, 2015, March 2, 2015, April 6, 2015, May 4, 2015 and June 1, 2015.

Special service honoring first responders, military at Concord United Methodist

A special service is being held at the Concord United Methodist Church to honor local members of the military, past and present, as well as members of First Responders units, including EMS, law enforcement, and the medical community.

The service will be held Wednesday, September 10, at 6:30 p.m.

Everyone, including those mentioned in the above special groups, are invited to attend.

Clinton Retired Teachers sponsoring School Supply Drive for Albany Elementary students

The Clinton County Retired Teachers, in conjuction with KRTA and AARP-Ky, are sponsoring a School Supply Drive. Albany Elementary School teachers will be the benficiary of the drive.

Items needed are: tissues, binder clips, dry erase markers, scan drives, note cards, post-it-notes or cash.

Cash will be used to purchase these items. The drive will end Friday October 3, 2014. Local drop is Clinton County Hospital Gift shop.

IDA to hold special meeting

The Clinton County Industrial Development Authority will hold a call meeting Wednesday, September 10 at 11 a.m. at the IDA-Welcome Center. The meeting is open to the general public.
