Relay for Life to honor cancer survivors

The Clinton County Relay For Life would like to invite all local cancer survivors to attend the Clinton County football game on Friday, September 12 at 7 p.m. It will be “pink-out” night for the fans and all cancer survivors can wear purple. Survivors will get in free, receive free food and be recognized at halftime. Survivors are asked to wear the purple “Relay For Life” t-shirt from the 2014 event or any purple shirt.

Farm Bureau annual meeting

The Clinton County Farm Bureau’s annual meeting will be held at the Clinton County Fairgrounds building on Thursday, September 11 at 6 p.m.

Clinton County Middle School Site Based Decision Making Council meeting dates announced

The Clinton County Middle School Site Based Decision Making Council will meet on the first Monday of the month in the Conference Room at 4:30 on the following dates:

October 6, 2014, November 3, 2014, December 1, 2014, January 5, 2015, February 2, 2015, March 2, 2015, April 6, 2015, May 4, 2015 and June 1, 2015.

Retired Teachers Association to meet

The Clinton County Retired Teachers will have a meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 1:00 at Lee’s Famous Recipe.

Wellness Center to host

First Aid/CPR class

Twin Lakes Family Wellness Center will be hosting a First Aid /CPR class to be held September 27th-28th at Albany Elementary School. Cost is $20 for certification from the American Red Cross. Class size is limited, so please register early by calling 606-387-9622 or by coming by Twin Lakes Family Wellness Center.

Relay for Life meeting

The Clinton County Relay For Life will meet Monday, September 15 at 5:30 p.m. at the Early Childhood Center. All team captains and new teams are invited to attend.

Wellness Center to offer

beginning swimming lessons

Twin Lakes Family Wellness Center will be offering beginning Swimming lessons October 6th – 10th. Cost is $45 for non-members and $35 for members.

Swimmers will be grouped by their swimming ability. Discounts given for more than one child registering from the same family. Register today by stopping by Twin Lakes Family Wellness Center or calling 606-387-9622. Class size is limited.

Wellness Center offers invite to join the ‘Water Dawgs’

Open swim and registration for the swim team will be September 19, at 5:00 pm at the Wellness Center.

If you are interested in swimming this is a wonderful opportunity to get involved with a great team.

Kids Ages 8 – 18 . This is an informational meeting about how the swim team will be set-up, when practices will be, etc. Kids will get to swim that night as well. Hope to see everyone there.

Clinton Fiscal Court to meet

Clinton County Fiscal Court will hold its regular monthly meeting Thursday, September 18 at 5 p.m. at the courthouse. The meeting is open to the general public.

Cordell Hull Festival Pageant

The Cordell Hull Festival Pageant will be held Saturday, September 20 at the Pickett County K-8 gym in Byrdstown, Tennessee. Registration will begin at 2 p.m. for the age groups of infant through eight years, with the pageant beginning at 3 p.m. Registration will begin at 5 p.m. for the age groups of nine through 21 years, with that portion of the pageant beginning at 6 p.m. Contestants must compete in their respective age category. Dress competition will be formal. A Miss Photogenic Contest will be held for each category with the contestant supplying the photograph. Masquerade Jewelry Sale

A masquerade jewelry and accessory sale will be held Thursday, September 18 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Clinton County Hospital dining room, sponsored by the Hospital Auxiliary.
