Pink Out night at CCHS

Come join the Clinton County Lady Volley Dawgs for Pink Out night on Thursday, September 25 at CCHS. A silent auction will be held with proceeds to go to Relay For Life. All cancer survivors will be recognized. Games start at 5:30 p.m.

Fall Decoration Sale

A fall decoration sale will be held Thursday, October 2 beginning at 8 a.m. at the Clinton County Hospital dining room. Selling will be wreaths, tower arrangements, scarecrows, centerpieces and much more. Sponsored by the Hospital Auxiliary.

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child kick-off event will be held Sunday, September 28 at 6:30 p.m. at Albany First Baptist Church. Darla Pierce Day will bring the special music. Everyone is invited to attend to learn more about Operation Christmas Child.

Foothills Festival Baby Show

The 2014 Foothills Festival Baby Show will be held Saturday, October 11 at the Clinton County High School (open county). Applications can be picked up at The Klassic Shop or City Florist. For more information please contact Rose Hunter at 606-306-2466.

Soil Conservation meeting

The Clinton County Soil Conservation District will hold its monthly meeting Friday, September 26 at 8:30 a.m. in the conference room of the FSA/NRCS office. The meeting is open to the public.

Womanless Beauty Pageant

Project Graduation will host a Womanless Beauty Pageant on Saturday, October 4 at 6 p.m. at the CCHS gymnasium. Admission is $3 with children five and under admitted free.

CCHS Class of 1960 gathering

The Clinton County High School Class of 1960 will have a gathering (Foothills Festival weekend) on Saturday, October 18 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Albany Elementary. There will be a reunion planning meeting at 11 a.m. Please remind classmates, friends and sponsors to attend!

Albany City Council to meet

Albany City Council will hold its regular monthly meeting Tuesday, October 7 at Albany City Hall. The meeting is open to the public. 50-2

UK Beef Bash field day

The UK Beef Bash field day will be held on Thursday September 25th at the UK Beef research farm in Princeton, KY. Topics for the field day include alternative summer grazing, pasture weed control, minerals, and genetics for Kentucky cattle. If there is enough interest to attend the field day, transportation will be provided by the Extension Service. Producers interested in attending this field day please call the Clinton County Extension Office by Monday, September 22nd at 606-387-5404.

Beef Quality Assurance rescheduled

The Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) meetings that were scheduled for Monday, September 29 and Tuesday, September 30 have been cancelled.

The rescheduled dates for the Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) meetings will be on Tuesday, October 7, at 6:00 p.m. and Thursday, October 9, at 10:00 a.m. at the Clinton County Extension Office. A BQA number is required for producers that are receiving cost share on the genetics portion of the CAIP. These meetings will also serve as an educational component of the cost-share program. Clinton County Middle School Site Based Decision Making Council meeting dates announced

The Clinton County Middle School Site Based Decision Making Council will meet on the first Monday of the month in the Conference Room at 4:30 on the following dates:

October 6, 2014, November 3, 2014, December 1, 2014, January 5, 2015, February 2, 2015, March 2, 2015, April 6, 2015, May 4, 2015 and June 1, 2015.

Recreation Park Board to meet

The Recreation/Park Board will hold its regular meeting Thursday, September 25 at 6 p.m. at Mountain View Park. The meeting is open to the public.

Wellness Center to offer

beginning swimming lessons

Twin Lakes Family Wellness Center will be offering beginning Swimming lessons October 6th – 10th. Cost is $45 for non-members and $35 for members.

Swimmers will be grouped by their swimming ability. Discounts given for more than one child registering from the same family. Register today by stopping by Twin Lakes Family Wellness Center or calling 606-387-9622. Class size is limited.

Weight Loss class at TLFWC

Kick your weight loss into to gear with our new weight loss support group. Get started the right way with nutrition and exercises to get you moving towards your goals and support to keep you there. This exciting new class starts Tuesday, October 7, 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
