Volley Dawgs fall to McCreary

Above Keisha Garrett went up for a kill during Clinton County’s match up against McCreary County last week. The Lady Raiders defeated the Volley Dawgs in four games, 25-16, 25-13, 21-25 and 25-21. Below, Cassady Key kept the ball alive during the first game of Thursday’s match. The district tournament will be held at Metcalfe County on October 20 with all three games played that night. Clinton County will go into the tournament as a number two seed and will play Cumberland County in the first round, following the match up between number one seed Russell County and number four seed Metcalfe County. The first game will start at 5 p.m. with Clinton County’s game scheduled to begin 20 minutes after the match between Russell and Metcalfe Counties.

The Clinton County Volley Dawgs move to 10-11 on the year with back-to-back losses against McCreary County, 2-1 last week, and Russell County, 3-0 Monday night.

The Volley Dawgs will travel to Wayne County Thursday night, followed by the final regular season game of the season on Tuesday, October 14 at Adair County.
