CCHS Class of ‘64 reunion

The Clinton County High School Class of 1964 will have a 50th reunion on Saturday, October 18 at 5 p.m. at Dale Hollow Lake State Park private dining room. Reservations are not required. All who attend can order buffet from the menu and pay their own check. If you were a member of the Class of ‘64, please join us for dinner and reminiscing. School board regular meeting

Clinton County Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting Monday, October 13 at 5 p.m. at the Central Office board room. The meeting is open to the general public.

Fiscal Court special meeting

Clinton County Fiscal Court will hold a special call meeting Thursday, October 16 at 5 p.m. at the county maintenance building in south Albany behind Patriot Industries. The meeting is open to the general public.

2014 Fall Reading Program

The Clinton County Public Library will host the 2nd annual Fall Reading Program Monday through Wednesday, October 13-15. The program will begin each day at 11 a.m. and include a storytime, arts/crafts, and more. The program is open to children of all ages and will include a free lunch provided daily. Participants will also receive a free book and be eligible to win door prizes!

Window Display Contest

The Foothills Festival Committee encourages all businesses in and around the Albany square to decorate its windows. They will be judged Thursday, October 16 between 6 and 7 p.m. To enter, please call Mary Pennycuff at 606-387-7504 or 306-4454. The theme is “Autumn Glory.”

Twin Lakes Beekeepers Association will meet Thursday evening, October 9 at 7 p.m. at the Clinton County Extension Office. Those interested in beekeeping are welcome to attend.

Class of ‘59 get-together

The CCHS Class of 1959 get-together will be Saturday, October 18 at 2 p.m. at McDonald’s in Albany. All classmates and friends are welcome to attend.

Class of ‘56 breakfast gathering

All members of the CCHS Class of 1956 are invited to meet for breakfast at the Farmhouse Restaurant, Byrdstown, Tennessee, on Saturday, October 18 at 8 a.m. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Foothills Festival Baby Show

The 2014 Foothills Festival Baby Show will be held Saturday, October 11 at Clinton County High School. Entry fee is $10 with late fee of $15. Registration begins at 9 a.m. with the show at 10 a.m. Admission is $2. All proceeds from the show will go to the Healthy Hometown Coalition to help purchase new playground equipment for the park. The Clinton County High School Class of 1960 will have a gathering (Foothills Festival weekend) on Saturday, October 18 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Albany Elementary. There will be a reunion planning meeting at 11 a.m. Please remind classmates, friends and sponsors to attend!
