It may just barely be fall, but winter and the upcoming Christmas season has long been on the minds of several members of the Dale Hollow Lake Yacht Club, as is evidence from the large stack of toys pictured above. Through the summer-long fund raising and toy collecting efforts of the group, the annual Albany and Clinton County Christmas Toy Drive has once again gotten off to a fantastic start. The group of boat owners, most of whom moor their houseboats at Wisdom Dock, have for several years raised funds and collected toys during their annual gatherings. At the end of the summer season, they donate the collections to the annual local toy drive, as a way of giving back to the community that they enjoy visiting and living in during the summer months.

Thanks to the efforts of these “transplanted” residents, the annual drive has gotten off to a fantastic start for the past several years.
