One of the most important races that Kentucky voters will be casting ballots in next month is the race for the U.S. Senate seat for the Commonwealth, and last week, both of the candidates seeking that position made campaign stops in Albany. Above, incumbent Republican Senator Mitch McConnell chose the Foothills Festival Parade on Friday as a means to greet local voters and stump for Clinton County votes. On Thursday, Democrat Alison Lundergran Grimes made a brief stop at the Clinton County Community Center to meet with local supporters and ask for votes in her bid to unseat McConnell in the U.S. Senate. Accompanying Grimes was former Governor Martha Layne Collins, seen in the background in the bottom photo.
