The Clinton County Middle School will host an Open House on Monday, November 3, from 5:00-7:00 p.m.. This is a time to meet teachers and attend parent informative sessions on EXPLORE results for 8th Grade, receive K-PREP and EXPLORE individual student scores and learn more about the NWEA (MAP)/Study Island link for Math and Reading.

Cumberland County Project Graduation 2015 will have a Haunted Asylum at 214 Veterans Street at the City Park in Burkesville, Friday, October 24 through Thursday October 30th. JROTC, Band to present annual

Veterans Day program at high school

The Clinton County High School JROTC, along with the Clinton County High School Band, will present the annual Veteran’s Day salute on Friday, November 7, at the C.C.H.S. gym.

This year’s program, titled “Til The Last Shot’s Fired” will begin at 1:15 p.m. and the doors will open to the public at 12:45 p.m. There is no admission charge to the program and the public is invited to attend. All veterans and current armed forces members and their families, are extended a special invitation to the program.

Absentee voting machines open

The County Clerk’s office reminds voters who will be out-of-the county on election day that the absentee voting machines in the clerk’s office are now open through Monday, November 3 (the day before election day). Voters who will be absent from the county may vote Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.

Open Medicare enrollment assistance

Sonya Caldwell, SHIP Coordinator for the Lake Cumberland Area, will be at Clinton County Senior Citizen Center to help Medicare recipients with their open enrollment needs. The date is October 31 from 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Please call Sonya at 1-800-264-7093 to make an appointment

Soil Conservation District to meet

The Clinton County Soil Conservation District will hold its monthly meeting Friday, October 31 at 8:30 a.m. in the conference room of the FSA/NCRS office. The meeting is open to the public.
