Barbara Pearl Guffey, 66, Albany, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Lela Pruitt Spears and wife of the late Joe Willard Guffey.

She is survived by a son, Keith (Audrey) Scott, Albany; a daughter, Brenda Mitchell, Copperas Cove, TX; her father, Justice Spears; six brothers, Johnny, Lyle, Larry, Joe, Jackie and Danny Spears, all of Burkesville, KY; two sisters, Dorothy Scott, Celina, TN; Eva Dyonn Bullis, Roseville, MI; a granddaughter, Brandi Scott and an aunt, Francis Carter.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Kay Hancock officiating. Final resting place in Choate Cemetery in Wayne County. Arrangements made through Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany. Condolences may be made at www.campbell-new.com.
