Russell H. “Beechnut” Shelton, 80, Albany, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014 at his residence. He was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Shelton.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice Shelton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Frankie and Mike Garner; Teresa Cole; and Lisa and Freddy Smith; two sons, Collis and Randy Shelton, all of Albany; three sisters, Wanda Howell, IN; Carolyn Neal, Byrdstown, TN; Peggy and Kenny Cope, OH; three brothers, Arnel and Raymond Shelton and Clyde and Janet Shelton; also 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, November 9, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with Bro. Ted Burchett, Bro. Bob Thrasher and Bro. Nolan Cantrell officiating. Final resting place in Davis Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements were made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
