The Clinton County Grand Jury convened in regular session last Thursday, November 13 and returned indictments in open court against three individuals.
The following true bills were returned last week:
— The alleged offenses of criminal possession of a forged instrument second degree (two counts), possession of drug paraphernalia (Class A misdemeanor), theft by unlawful taking or disposition less than $500 (Class A misdemeanor) and two counts of persistent felony offender second degree, against Christopher C. Caruthers, when during October, the defendant uttered forged checks on the account of Sam W. Hadley and Hadley Enterprises with the knowledge the check was a forgery; possessed drug paraphernalia, took or exercised control of several blank checks belonging to Sam and Joyce Hadley, and committed said offenses after having been stood convicted of a prior felony offense within the past five years.
— The alleged offense of Unlawful Use of Electronic Means originating or Receiving With the Commonwealth to Induce a Minor to Engage in Sexual or other Prohibited Activities, against David A. Braswell, when on or about October 27 he used a cell phone to procure or promote the use of a minor child for prohibited activity.
— The alleged offense of flagrant nonsupport against Danny Holman, when on or about May 26, 2009 through November 13, 2014, he failed to provide support for his minor child or children, said failure to pay having amounted in an arrearage of $5,564.00 as of November 13, 2014.
