Herman E. Reeder, 72, New Castle, Indiana and a native of Albany, passed away October 29, 2014 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana. He was the son of the late John and Belle Stockton Reeder and was also preceded in death by a brother, Willie Reeder and four sisters, Christene and Mary Tankersley, Martha Davidson and Jo Lindsey. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of Southside Church of the Nazarene.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca (Rains) Reeder; a daughter, Jenny L. Barley; two sisters, Berchie Collins, Albany, and Linda (James) Wells, Livingston, TN; a brother, Ed (Jane) Booher, Indianapolis, IN: three grandchildren, Kaelynn, Shayla and Walker Barley; a brother-in-law, Ed Tankersley, Beckley, WV; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were held November 3, 2014 at Southside Church of the Nazarene in New Castle with military honors by the U.S. Air Force. Final resting place was in Green Hills Memory Gardens in New Castle. Arrangements were made through Macer-Hall Funeral Home and Cremation Services of New Castle, Indiana.
