Melvin W. “Cuggie” Stockton, 72, Albany, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at his residence. He was the son of the late Marvin and Netha Stockton, a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Stonecipher Stockton; a son, Brian W. Stockton; two sisters, Betty (James) Pharis, all of Albany and Barbara Cook, Muncie, IN; also several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Duvall Valley Pentecostal Church with Pastor Mike Rigney and Bro. Clay Chaplin officiating. Final resting place in Oak Grove Cemetery.
