Soil Conservation meeting

The Clinton County Soil Conservation District will hold its monthly meeting Friday, January 23rd at 8:30 a.m. in the conference room of the FSA/NRCS office. The meeting is open to the public.

Fiscal Court regular meeting

Clinton County Fiscal Court will hold its regular monthly meeting Thursday, January 15 at 5 p.m. at the courthouse. The meeting is open to the general public.

School board regular meeting

Clinton County Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting Monday, January 19 at 5 p.m. at the Central Office board room. The meeting is open to the general public.

kynect Help Day

A kynect Help Day will be held on Thursday, January 22nd from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the Clinton County Extension Office. Staff from Cumberland Family Medical will be available to assist individuals in making health insurance decisions. Please be prepared and bring the following items with you: Social Security card, birth certificate, driver’s license, and income verification (last paystub, 2013 tax return, monthly benefit award letter, or bank statement). Farm Service Agency Farm Loan Program help

The Farm Service Agency Farm Loan Program team will be in the Albany Farm Service Agency office every Tuesday morning from 8:00 am to 11:00 am to assist new and existing customers with the Farm Loan Program. Twin Lakes Beekeepers meeting

The Twin Lakes Beekeepers Association will meet Thursday, January 8 at 7 p.m. at the Extension Office. Those interested in beekeeping are welcome to attend.

VA officer available 

Veterans Service Officer Earl Claborn is available to help veterans and their families with VA benefits. The office is located in the Clinton County Community Center. Office hours are Monday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information call 606-387-9447 

AA meeting 

AA will be meeting each Thursday and Saturday night at 7 p.m. in the basement of the First Christian Church. 

VA Rep available 

Veterans and their families seeking benefits in south central Kentucky will now be able to find help and advice at a central location. Gary Jones, the Veterans Benefits Field Representative for Clinton and surrounding counties, will be in Glasgow at 126 E. Public Square, Lower Level, every day except for the first Tuesday, second Monday, second Tuesday, second Thursday and third Monday of each month. Veterans can schedule an appointment by phoning 270-651-9578 or toll free at 800-850-1392. 

Narcotics Anonymous 

Narcotics Anonymous group meets each Monday, Tuesday and Friday nights at 7 p.m. at the Bright Idea Missionary Baptist Church basement in Albany. These meetings are open to anyone wanting to address their drug and alcohol problems.
