For the first time, more than 6,000 students have made the University of Kentucky Dean’s List for the fall 2014 semester., including 11 students from Clinton County.

The 11 students from Clinton County named to the Dean’s List are: Danielle R. Albertson, Emily Jordan Bertram, Caitlyn Danielle Choate, William Franklin Cox, Destiny Hope Guffey, Lamon Tyler Hubbs, Wendell L. Maupin, Stevi Ann Morgan, Brandon S. Shepherd and Joshua Hurt Tallent.

A record high 6,366 students were recognized for their outstanding academic performance. That’s an increase of nearly 500 since Fall 2013 and nearly 900 more than Spring 2014.

To make a Dean’s List in one of the UK colleges, a student must earn a grade point average of 3.6 or higher and must have earned 12 credits or more in that semester, excluding credits earned in pass-fail classes. Some UK colleges require a 3.5 GPA to make the Dean’s List.
