“I thought it went really well,” Guffey said. “It’s an ongoing situation and we will do whatever we can do. We just have to keep at it.”

Guffey said the drug investigation is still ongoing.

“We can’t do it by ourself. All the agencies working together really helps and we definately can’t do without the HIDTA.”

All of the aforementioned people who were arrested and charged are to be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

In other arrests, Guffey said more than $2,000 worth of property was recovered that was stolen from Pyles Lumber Company on Thanksgiving night in 2014.

Guffey said Brian Abston was arrested and charged Tuesday, January 20, with the recovering stolen property over $500, but less than $10,000 which is a Class D Felony. Guffey said Abston was arrested for allegedly committing the crime of theft and lodged in the Clinton County Jail.
