Barbara Pearl Guffey, 66, Albany, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011 at her residence. She was the daughter of Justice “Jet” Spears and the late Lela Pruitt Spears of Burkesville, KY. and the wife of the late Joe Willard Guffey.

She is survived by her son, Keith (Audrey) Scott of Albany, a daughter, Brenda Mitchell (Robert Kitchenmaster) of Copperas Cove, TX.; six brothers, Lyle, Larry, Johnny, Curtis, Danny Joseph and Jackie Spears, all of Burkesville, KY.; two sisters, Dorothy Scott, of Celina, TN., and Eva Dyonn Bullis, of Roseville, MI.; one granddaughter, Brandi Scott; one aunt Francis Carter.

Guffey is also survived by many friends and relatives.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Kay Hancock officiating. Final resting place in Choate Cemetery in Wayne County. Arrangements made through Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany. Condolences may be made at www.campbell-new.com.
