Leah Irene (Massengale) Marcum, 95, Albany, passed away Friday, January 30, 2015 at UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Clabern and Lizzie (Frost) Massengale, wife of the late Fred Marcum and was also preceded in death by two sons, Dennis and Lane Marcum, three brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by two sons, Dexter (Sue) Marcum; Lonnie (Sandra) Marcum, Albany; three daughters, Alfredda (Jerry) Stearns and Connie (Bill) Asberry, Albany; Deloris (Charles) Kerr, Burkesville, KY; a sister, Mallie Wright, Russell Springs, KY; a daughter-in-law, Kathie Upchurch; a brother-in-law, Lonzo Marcum; two sisters-in-law, Lucille (Arnold) Clark, Albany; Wanda Lee Perdue, Anchorage, Alaska; also 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, February 2, 2015 at Campbell-New Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Jones officiating. Final resting place in Davis Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements were made through Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany. Online condolences may be made at www-campbell-new.com.
