Vena Dean “Venil” Stinson, 77, Monticello, Kentucky, passed away Monday, May 9, 2011 at Wayne County Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Mindo and Delphia Dishman and wife of the late Dewey Stinson. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters and was a member of Jesus Name Church.

She is survived by six children, Farley (Vannie); Barbara York (Jackie); Donnie (Peggy); Lonnie (Paula); Timmy and Ronnie Stinson; two sisters, Helen Catron and Ora Sue Shelton; three brothers, Cecil, Othie and Kay Dishman; three grandchildren, Crystal and Kendi Stinson and Janna Payne and two great-grandchildren, Pipa Pillar and Pasilee Payne.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Hickey & Son Funeral Home with final resting place in Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Arrangements made through Hickey & Son Funeral Home of Monticello.

Betty Eula Byers Piercey Sutton, 71, Albany, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Selbert and Ermon Hays Byers and wife of the late John Marion Piercey. She was a member of Albany Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband, Hermon Sutton; a daughter, Brenda K. (Charles) Orton, Albany; nine brothers and sisters, J.T. (Charlene) Byers, Nadine (Don) Dalton, both of New Castle, IN; Arthur (Rachel) Byers, Greenfield, IN; Earl (Susan) Byers, Frankfort, KY; Elaine (Michael) Craft, Somerset, KY; Mary (Larry) Brown, Lois (Bobby) Thrasher, Stevie (Anna Ruth) Byers and Weldon (Marilyn) Byers, all of Albany; three grandchildren, Ocie (Ricky) Marcum, Anthony Orton and Jonathan (Heather) Orton; three great-grandchildren, Christian and Caleb Marcum and Jaxon Albertson; a special nephew, Randy (Crystal) Jones and several other nieces and nephews.
