The long, cold winter of 2015 is coming to a close much to the delight of most Clinton County and southern Kentucky residents. With spring quickly approaching, many residents have something even more to look forward to, shorter nights and longer days with more daylight than darkness.

With the changing of the seasons at hand, there is more daylight hours to enjoy and come this Sunday, there will be that extra hour of even more daylight when Clinton County and much of the southeast return to the much anticipated Central Daylight Saving Time.

CDST officially returns at 2 a.m. this coming Sunday morning, March 8 so readers should keep in mind the addage “Spring Forward, Fall Back” and set time pieces ahead one hour either before retiring for bed Saturday night or first thing Sunday morning. Not many people will complain about losing the hour of sleep as they can make it up the first Sunday morning in November when Central Standard Time returns.
