Two meth labs have been seized in the past month by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department, with help from the Albany Police Department and the Kentucky State Police.

On February 12, Sheriff’s Deputy Chris McGuffin was in search of an individual in reference to a warrant. McGuffin received information of the whereabouts of the subject when he stopped at a residence to serve the warrant. McGuffin asked the homeowner for consent to search and he was denied.

Later, a search warrant was obtained to search the 10132 North Hwy 127 residence. Sheriff Jim Guffey, McGuffin, Deputy Rodney Shelton, KSP Trooper David Long Constable Rick Stearns and Constable Andy Butler executed the search warrant.

Jennifer Wilson, of Albany, was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On March 3, 2015, the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department served a writ of possession at the same location on North Hwy. 127.

Upon entering the residence, David Vitatoe was located under a garden tub in the master bedroom. According to the Sheriff’s Office, further investigation revealed a methamphetamine lab under the tub as well.

Vitatoe was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal mischief in the first degree. Vitatoe was also served on active warrant for flagrant non-support.
