CCHS teams end regular season runs

As I mentioned last week, our Racket Dawgs tennis teams are involved in post season play this week, with this 2011 season at an end already.

The Lady Bat Dawgs and Bat Dawgs will both head to Burkesville next week for District Tournament action, and hopefully follow up with a berth in their respective Regional Tournament play.

Looking – again – for a Lady Dawg roundball coach

Word came late last week that the revolving door that Clinton County Lady Bulldog basketball has become known for in the past half-decade or so, continues to go round and round.

First-year head coach Carter Adams was informed last week that he would not be returning to that position, which means that once again, the Lady Dawgs will be wondering who will be their coach next season, and what their summer schedules will be like.

As has almost always been the case from my seat, I enjoyed my working relationship with Coach Adams, and I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to him for his friendship as well as his enthusiasm on the bench. His teams didn’t win as often as he would have liked this past season, but he always went at his job full throttle, and he always met me with a smile and always with jovial greeting.

Don’t know what this new search will bring to us for our next season, but we’ll anxiously await to see who the next Lady Dawg leader might be, and whether or not he/she should unpack their suitcases.
