Betty Louise Sloan Smith, 84, Shortcut Rd., Albany, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Clinton County Hospital. She was the wife of the late John B. Smith, Jr., a member of Albany United Methodist Church, and a retired school teacher with the Clinton County Board of Education. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Arlo and Bud Sloan, and a sister, Addie Lee Kissinger.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Nicky and Becky Smith; Tony Smith; and Barry and Katherine Smith, all of Albany; three grandchildren, Leslie Smith, Nick (Staci) Thrasher and Chris Thrasher; two great-grandchildren, Jersie Sloan Louise Smith and Haleigh Jo Thrasher; special niece and nephews, Janice Sloan Boklage, Edgar Cross and Brian Anderson.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Albany United Methodist Church with Bro. Charlie Shoemaker officiating. Final resting place in Hillcrest Cemetery. Arrangements were made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
