ECC raised more than $3,600 for St. Jude

The Early Childhood Center spent most of the morning Thursday riding their bicycles and tricycles in the annual St. Jude Trike-A-Thon at Mountain View Park. The children have been participating in the event for 16 years and this year raised $3,657 for the cause.

This year, the ECC had 35 participants raise money for St. Jude. This year’s top money raisers where Breeli Fitzgerald and Addison Whittenburg with $575 and $530 respectively.

In the top photo, students rode their trikes around in a circle at Mountain View Park and spent the day outside as a reward for partricpating in the event. Right, Christa Shea Thacker was all smiles as she made one of many laps at the park. In the bottom photo, all students and teachers who participated in this year’s event gathered after the awards ceremony.

ECC Principal Tina Langford said the money raised this year for St. Jude Children’s Hospital will provide enough support for one child to stay in the hospital for one day.
