Summer Ellen Abston graduating with a BS in Architectural Sciences from Western Ky. University. She was an AMS department scholarship recipient in 2014. She is a FUSE grant recipient and has published and presented her research conducted under the mentorship of Ms. Shahanaz Aly, entitled Observational Sketching as a Platform to Improve Sketching Techniques. She presented her Capstone research over Architectural Reformation of Education Institutions: Clinton County High School at the WKU Research Conference this past March. Aspiring to become a practicing architect, Summer plans to obtain her Masters in Architecture at The College of Architecture and Design at UT Knoxville, concentrating in sustainable design.
