Albany Mayor Nicky Smith, center, made a proclamation Tuesday morning designating May 15 as Peace Officers’ Memorial Day and the week in which May 15 falls as Police Week in Clinton County.

Also on hand for the proclamation was Assistant Police Chief Lyle Pierce, left, and Police Chief Ernest Guffey.
