On April 28, the Pickett County Sheriff’s Department received information from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department regarding a vehicle heading toward Pickett County that possibly contained a male subject who had outstanding warrants. A vehicle matching the description of a burgundy Toyota Camry with Kentucky tags was seen by deputies traveling north on Highway 111.
The vehicle was stopped in the B & K parking lot, when Chief Deputy Steve Wilbur verified the tag number of the vehicle and approached the occupants. After questioning, it was learned that the male passenger in the back seat was the person wanted in Clinton County and was placed under arrest.
During that time, Jeremy Adam York, 35, of Albany, was also charged with possession of a schedule II, possession of a schedule III, possession of drug paraphernalia and promotion to manufacture methamphetamine.
The other occupants in the vehicle were not charged.
The investigation was conducted by Chief Deputy Steve Wilbur and Deputy Wayne Clayborn.
