National Day of Prayer sees another successful year with turnout

Thursday, several people from Albany were present on the square at the Clinton County Courthouse to celebrate the National Day of Prayer hosted by NDOP Coordinator Tiffany Peters, right.

Above, Bro. David Dorn opened the ceremony with a prayer, followed by remarks from Peters. The Clinton County Middle School ROTC presented colors during Thursday night’s event, while members of the crowd recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

The event continued with members of the CCHS 180 Club saying prayers, and Jayden Thair giving his testomony, as shown in the photo to the far right.

The praise and worship portion was conducted by Bro. Michael Cooper with Pastor David Stearns speaking.

A formatioin of prayer groups was then assembled praying for certain groups such as, government, church, military and family.

A candle lighting was then performed and a continuation of points of prayer, including prayers for education, media and business.
