Clinton County Jury hands down host of indictments on May 14

The Clinton County Grand Jury had an extremely busy regular session on Thursday, May 14, handing down a host of true bills, including some that remained “sealed” as of press time Tuesday morning of this week, May 26.

A total of 27 individuals were named in indictments in open court, not counting the undisclosed number of true bills which remained sealed. Most of those indicted were named in multiple counts.

The following indictments were handed down in open court during the May session and made public by the court:

* Randall G. Hicks, the alleged offenses of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon; manufacturing methamphetamine; marijuana cultivation-more than five plants, felony charges and misdemeanor charges of driving on a suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia, all of the alleged offenses having occurred on or about April 13.

* Joseph P. Coop, the alleged offenses of tampering with a prisoner monitoring device; possession of a handgun by a convicted felon; marijuana cultivation-more than five plants; manufacturing methamphetamine; escape-second degree; persistent felony offender second degree-five counts, all felonies and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, all of the alleged offenses having occurred on or about April 13.

* Gary L Booher, the alleged offenses of theft of a legend drug, theft by unlawful taking or disposition, burgary-third degree, all felony offenses and misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct-second degree, theft by unlawful taking or disposition under $500 and fleeing or evading police-second degree, all offenses having occurred on or about March 1.

* Steven D. Posey, the alleged offenses of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and persistent felony offender-second degree, the alleged offenses having occurred on or about March 31.

* Jacob R. Daley, the alleged offense of assault-third degree, two counts, a felony and a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct-first degree, the alleged offenses ochaving occurred on or aboutApril 9.

* Jennifer Wilson, the alleged offenses of manufacturing methamphetamine, trafficking in a controlled substance-first degree (meth), trafficking in a controlled substance-first degree, all felonies and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, all of the offenses having occurred on or about February 12.

* Patricia S. Hardin, the alleged offenses of forgery second degree, theft by unlawful taking or disposition (two charges), the alleged offenses having occurred on or about April 13.

* Tommy E. Phillips, the alleged offenses of forgery second degree, theft by unlawful taking (two charges) and persistent felony offender-first degree (three counts), all the alleged offenses having occurred on or about April 13.

* Richard Thompson, the alleged offenses of possession of a controlled substance first degree (meth), a felony and misdemeanor charges of prohibited use of license, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, all of the alleged offenses having occurred on or about April 8.

* Jennifer Stockton, the alleged offenses of possession of a controlled substance first degree (meth), a felony and misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, all alleged offenses having occurred on or about April 8.

* Debora F. Bell, the alleged offenses of possession of a controlled substance first degree (meth), a felony, and misdemeanor charges of speeding, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, all alleged offenses having occurred on or about April 8.

* Jennie L. Miller, the alleged offenses of wanton endangerment first degree (three counts), a felony and a misdemeanor charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, all of the alleged offenses having occurred on or about August 5, 2014.

* David Vitatoe, the alleged offenses of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance first degree, both felonies and misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal mischief third degree and possession or use of a radio capable of sending or receiving police messages, all the alleged offenses having occurred on or about March 3.

* Deana S. Bell, the alleged offenses of marijuana cultivation-five or more plants, manufacturing methamphetamine, both felonies and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, all of the alleged offenses having occurred on or about April 13.

* Danny S. Brown, the alleged offenses of theft of a legend drug, theft by unlawful taking or disposition, criminal mischief-first degree and burglary third degree, all of the alleged offenses having occurred on or about April 16.

* Brandie S. Young, the alleged offenses of possession of a controlled substance first degree, a felony and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, both alleged offenses having occurred on or about May 11.

* Jonathan M. Blaesing, the alleged offenses of possession of a controlled substance first degree, a felony and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, both offenses having occurred on or about May 11.

* Dewayne Brown, the alleged offenses of burglary third degree and theft by unlawful taking or disposition, both alleged offenses having occurred on or about September 11, 2014.

* Archie Boykin, the alleged offenses of theft by unlawful taking or disposition and burglary second degree, both offenses having occurred on or about September 27, 2014.

* Albert E. Poore, Jr., the alleged offenses of theft by deception and two counts of persistent felony offender second degree, the alleged offenses having occurred on or about December 14, 2014.

* Brittney R. Latham, the alleged offense of persistent felony offender first degree by promoting contraband first degree, alleged offenses having occurred on or about January 30.

* Donnie D. Jones, the alleged offense of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, alleged offense having occurred on or about October 15, 2014.

* Kyle Norris, the alleged offense of intimidating a participant in the legal process, alleged offense having occurred on or about April 4.

* Michael S. Smith, the alleged offense of theft by failure to make required disposition, alleged offense having occurred on or about October 15, 2014.

* Adam L. Barnes, the alleged offense of theft by deception, alleged offense having occurred on or about May 28. 2014.

* Frankie Hickman, the alleged offense of fraudulent insurance acts, alleged offense having occurred on or about July 31, 2012.

* Harold A. Tuell, the alleged offenses of possession of a controlled substance-second degree, driving on a suspended operator’s license and possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors, the alleged offenses having occurred on or about January 28.

All grand jury indictments returned in open court and not ordered sealed by a judge are open records and filed in the Circuit Clerk’s office.
