Boys and Girls Ranch Camp

It’s camp time at the Kentucky Sheriffs Boys and Girls Ranch. Come spend a week at summer camp where all of the activities are fun and exciting! There will be archery, swimming, fishing, arts and crafts, horse back riding, sports, camp fires and more! The Clinton County Sheriff’s Department will be sending three boys on June 14-19 and three girls on June 21-26, ages 8-11 only. Early Head Start

Lake Cumberland Early Head Start program is now accepting applications for children ages birth to three, and expecting moms in the Clinton County area for the 2015-16 school year. Early Head Start is a development program that provides comprehensive services to income eligible parents and families with special needs. Qualified staff operates a center-based facility that is developmentally appropriate for children birth to three years old. The center provides an environment with numerous learning opportunities and learning experiences that meet the needs of young children. TLFWC Swimming

Lessons

The Twin Lakes Family Wellness Center will be offering swimming lessons Monday through Friday, June 8-12. Classes are 45 minutes in length. Sessions will be 2 p.m. for ages 2-4 (parent must attend with child); 3-5 p.m. for 5-8 years; and 4 p.m. for 9-12 years. Classes are limited to six students per session. Ricky Pickens will offer an Adult Martial Arts class Monday 4 p.m. and a youth Martial Arts class Wednesdays at 5 p.m.

Learn to clog with Heather, Wednesdays, at 5 p.m. at the Wellness Center.

Water Aerobics

Water Aerobics Class has started back at the Wellness Center. Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8:30 am. Cost is free to members and $3 for non members.

Albany Fire and Rescue fundraiser

Albany Fire and Rescue will be doing the picture drive fundraiser. There will be people coming to your door with a letter in hand asking for a $30 donation and you’ll receive a free 8×10, which will be taken at the Albany Fire Department. 33-2

Library to present

‘The Underground Railroad in Kentucky’

The Clinton County Public Library and Stephen A. Brown will present “The Underground Railroad in Kentucky” on Tuesday, June 16 from 5-6 p.m. at the library. Come learn how slavery impacted President Abraham Lincoln’s early years in Kentucky. 33-3

Adult Summer Reading Program

The 2015 Adult Summer Reading Program will be held at the Clinton County Public Library June 1 through July 31 each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 11 a.m. Call 387-5989 or stop by for details. rtn

Industrial Authority meeting

The Clinton County Industrial Development Authority is scheduled to hold its regular meeting Thursday, June 11 at 11 a.m. at the IDA-Welcome Center. The meeting is open to the general public.

Free Healthy Living Series

class offered at

Extension Office

Every Tuesday and Thursday in the month of June, the Clinton County Extension Office will be offering a new Healthy Living Class beginning at 10 am.

Classes are open to the public and always free.

Thursday, June 4th, the topic will be Container Gardening.

We will be discussing how to grow your own container garden and how much money you can save by having just one container. Tuesday, June 8th, the topic will be $50 a Week, Really!?!
